Ban Ki Moon's Exit as UN Secretary General: IAWPA Holds Dinner Night, Honours Sultan of Sokoto, Wike, Others



The International Association of World Peace Advocates a United Nations Peace advocacy group has honoured the Sultan of Sokoto His Excellency, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, the Executive Governor of Anambra state His Excellency Willie Obiano, Executive governor of Rivers state His Excellency Chief Nyesom Wike, General Oversser of Omega Power Ministries Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere as well as TVC News for their contributions to peace and humanity in the country.

The association made this known during its dinner night in honour of the outgoing Secretary General of the United Nations Mr. Ban ki-Moon in Port Harcourt the Rivers state capital.

The International Association of World peace Advocates (IAWPA) through its World President Per Stafsen  from Denmark said the association was honouring the outgoing Secretary General of the United Nations Mr. Ban Ki-Moon for his contribution to world peace and stability in the course of his ten year stay at the United Nations especially in the area of the Sustainable Development Goals which has proved a huge success in developing countries. He said the association decided to honour personalities in the country for what they have done in the course of the year in view. He announced the Sultan of Sokoto as the traditional ruler of the year 2016, Anambra state governor Willie Obiano was declared as the Sustainable Development Goals SDG governor of the year, Nyesom Wike was honoured for promoting peace in Rivers state especially with the amnesty Initiative he declared for militants in the state. The general Overseer of the Omega Power Ministries OPM Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere was honoured as the most humanitarian church leader of the year while TVC News was honoured for its unbiased reportage of events in the country.

The event was chaired by Chief Barr. Dumo Lulu Briggs and was attended by various personalities including Peace ambassadors all over the country.

Christian Association of Nigeria partners IAWPA in Promoting Peace in ONELGA

Today the 7th day of December, the oil city of Omoku town and other adjourning towns within Ogba/ Egbema/ Ndoni local government area of Rivers State will be witnessing a peace rally which is organised by the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN in conjunction with the International Association of World Peace Advocates IAWPA.

According to Amb. Emma Nkweke, who is expected to deliver a motivational speech at the event, he said the event promises to promote peace in the local government which has suffered violence before this time. He said considering that there is a rerun election coming up in the state as well, the event will go a long way in preaching peace to the people.


Amb. Bright Abali said he is calling on all youth groups in the local government to seize the opportunity of the event to embrace peace in the local government area.

Guests expected at the event include Primate Isaac Anyanasikike, the Rivers state Chairman of CAN, Apostle Amb. Promise Ebenezar Chairman CAN, Ogba/ Egbema/ Ndoni ONELGA.

Other activities for the day include special honours to people whose activities have ledto the restoration of peace in the LGA.

World Peace Is Inevitable - Amb. Nkweke


The International Spokesman of the International Association Of World Peace Advocates IAWPA a United Nations Peace advocacy group Amb. Emmanuel Nkweke has urged world leaders to ensure they pursue peace in the universe.

Comrade Nkweke made this known in Abakiliki the capital of Ebonyi state during the celebration of the "United Nations Day For the Elimination of violence against women". He said violence against women is abhorable and must be condemned by all and sundry.

The governor of Ebonyi state in his remark said his state will do all it can to ensure that women are protected in the state.
